先日、まめ暮らしさんの看板のメンテナンスをしました。
メンテナンスと言いますか、ペンキの文字が消えてきた為、文字を掘りました。古材が桂の木だったので、彫りやすく助かりました。

I’m giving the signboard at Café Mame Gurashi a freshen up. File it under maintenance. Being constantly exposed to the elements, the painted letters on the board wore off – so I carved them into the board.Because the reclaimed wood used to make the signboard is katsura, it was easy to carve and made right soon enough.
